still fading, twisting up and into the night sky.
relief? not yet. not tonight, not ever.
-well, to say the least, today has been an interesting day.
i finally, finally got around to updating this account (which i've ignored for a good while now) and uploading some pictures. i'm very proud of some that are up now, others are just me being a bit silly and weird.
also, today is the 14th. oh, the dreaded Valentine's Day.
i totally and completely hate this "holiday" through and through. and no, it has nothing to do with bad memories or bad relationships or even something along the lines of "waaahhh i'm single" because i'm not by any means (thank god for my amazing boyfriend)...
however, i can't help but be disgusted at the idea of people buying into the corporate world of Hallmark America with all of its candy, flower and bullshhh glory. love, my dear friends, exists more than one day a year. and yes, i understand, it's that one day a year that you can be super cute or super sweet or super whateverthefuckyouwannacallit and do something you normally wouldn't.
so what makes today so much more special than two weeks from now? August 4th, October 25th, January 8th... random days where you can, and should, take your loved one by the hand and kiss them tenderly. go out to dinner. get a sitter for the kids, give each other flowers... spend all night wrapped up in only covers making love.
whatever the case, this holiday makes me want to throw up on just about everything.
aside from the fact that today is among the top of my least favorite days out of the year... Andrew got a call today from his mother while she was bawling hysterically.
his grandmother, on his mother's side, is in the hospital. he should be on his way home as i type this...
and when he arrives home, from an open to close shift at his store, we will have a few minutes to kiss and say hello before going back out into the freezing cold shitass weather to get the update from his family and the hospital.
and i need not be selfish and mention all of the other nonsense that has my head in constant spin recently.
we'll save that for another day.
hopefully, your day went better.
adieu.
-Gina
